An urban courtyard in Truro

In this small, steep town garden, a clear design geometry and the use of smooth Jura Beige limestone links the different levels, helping to make the back garden feel more spacious. The focus looking out from the lounge is water spilling from a copper spout into an Urbis bowl below. On the upper terrace, a bespoke pergola built by Roussel & Moore provides privacy from neighbours, anchors the design and helps to ceiling the space. A palette of low maintenance plants, packed with form and texture, together with some floriferous favourites like Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’, ensure the planting looks good all year round. The project was completed in June 2021.
